Isabelle M. Breuer, 93
Isabelle
M. Breuer, nee Warnecke, 93, of West Bend died on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011
at The Kathy Hospice. She was born on Oct. 13, 1918 on the family
homestead in the town of Addison to the late Nicholas and Anna (nee
Wiedmeyer) Warnecke. Isabelle grew up on the family farm, attending Ss.
Peter and Paul school in Nenno.
Following her marriage to Edgar C. Breuer on June 28, 1947 at Ss. Peter
and Paul Catholic Church, the couple lived in the town of Addison for a
short time before moving to West Bend, where they built the home that
Isabelle lived in up to the time of her death. For a while, she worked at
the West Bend Company, Amity Leather Products and Enger Kress
Company.
Isabelle was a devoted mother, and loving grandmother. She enjoyed
crocheting and gardening, and was a faithful fan of the Milwaukee
Brewers.
She was a member of the Christian Women’s Confraternity at Holy Angels
Church.
Survivors include four children: Darlene (Walter) Zieja, Gerald (Patricia)
and Sharon (Ed) Tennies, all of West Bend and Glen (Val Stetler) of
Hartford; eight grandchildren John (friend Brittany Ward) Zieja, Sara
Zieja, Michael (friend Joslyn Rosen) Breuer, Christopher Breuer, Allison
Breuer, Brian (friend Jen Delfosse) Tennies, Jason (friend Brenna
Schladweiler) Tennies and Tyler Tennies; one sister Marcella Becker of
Hartford; one sister-in-law Vivian Hammermeister of West Bend; a companion
and friend, her cat Mitzy; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edgar
on March 17, 1999, three brothers Frank, Roman and Walter and two sisters
Lorraine Aufdermauer and Marie Weis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. at
Holy Angels Catholic Church. Burial will be Saturday in Holy Angels
Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church only
on Friday from 4 until 6:45 p.m.
Memorials to The Kathy Hospice, the Washington County Humane Society, Holy
Angels School Trust Fund or the American Heart Association are
appreciated.
Isabelle’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff
at The Kathy Hospice and Dr. Herdrich for their compassion and care. It is
truly appreciated.
