Betty J. DeMares, 84

Betty J. DeMares (Lutin), 84, of West Bend, died Friday, Sept. 30.

She was born to the late Nina and Glen Lutin of Cicero, Ill. on Feb. 4, 1927. She married the late Conrad DeMares in 1946. They resided in Lombard, Ill. for most of their lives. Betty relocated to West Bend to be with one of her daughters and son-in-law and three of her five grandchildren many years after Conrad died.

Betty loved people and loved to laugh. She will be remembered for her strength, her perseverance and her love of life. Betty was a playground and lunch supervisor for 11 years at Manor Hill School in Lombard. She also volunteered at Elmhurst Hospital for many years. She loved to golf, bowl and dance, and she did all of these things into her golden years.

Her family would like to thank the wonderful, caring and loving caregivers of The Fields of Washington County and Cedar Lake Health Care for all of the love and compassion they showed for their mother. She was treated with the dignity she deserved every day of her life because of these special people.

Betty is survived by two children, Donna Jasasra (Bud Jones) of Tulsa, Okla. and Kathy Baumann (Joe Baumann) of West Bend. She also is survived by five grandchildren, Sara Adibi (Arya Adibi) of Fayetteville, Ark., Jason Jasasra (Amanda) of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Jack, Patrick and Grace Baumann of West Bend, and three great-grandchildren, Colette, Roxanna and Quinn Adibi of Fayetteville, Ark.
