Walter R. Schneider, 82, passed away peacefully Oct. 1, 2011. He was preceded in death by his dear wife of 52 years, Betty (nee Mayer). He was the loving dad of Christine (David) Zabkowicz, Tomas (Debra) Schneider, Connie (the late Neal) Wendorf and Beth (Tim) Kenney. He was the cherished grandpa of 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother, Robert. He is further survived by many family and friends. 

Walt lived in Milwaukee for 70 years, and worked for Wisconsin Electric for 35 years. He was a former member of Mt. Lebanon Ev. Lutheran Church. After moving to West Bend, they became members of St. Pauls Ev. Lutheran Church. Walt was a member of Badger Canary Fanciers. He and Betty were also bell collectors since 1972 and were members of A.B.A. and Bell Friends of Wisconsin. 

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct. 5, 7 p.m. at Harder Funeral Service, 18700 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield. Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Interment Thursday 11 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park.
