Arvin L. Bauer, 89|
Arvin L. Bauer of the town of Trenton died on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Horizon Hospice, Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Ozaukee Campus at the age of 89 years. He was born on May 15, 1922, in Juanita, N.D., to the late Garvin E. and Gertrude (nee Hoffmann) Bauer. During World War II, he served with the United States Navy aboard the USS Nashville.
Following his discharge, he settled in Colgate. On May 25, 1946, he was united in marriage to Alice A. Youngbauer in Lannon. For the past 60 years, they have lived in the town of Trenton.
For more than 40 years, he was employed at Paul Grunau Company, where he worked as a sprinkler fitter installing fire protection systems.
Survivors include his wife Alice; 5 children Catherine (Richard) Depies, Janet (Raymond) Werhand, Edward (Paulette), Robert (Sue Isakson-Bauer) and Bonnie (Robert) Krause; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Dennis (Beverly) and Kerlin (Marsha); nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 daughter Barbara Clayton and his step-mother Lillian (nee Motz) Bauer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with burial following in Holy Angels Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends during a period of visitation at the church only on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m.
