James M. "Jim" Fehring, age 86, of West Bend, passed away Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011 at his residence. 

Jim was born on Feb. 1, 1925, in the town of Polk to John and Alma (neeWeninger) Fehring. He married Lottie Mroczkowski on Sept. 15, 1951, at St. George’s Catholic Church in Bark River, Michigan. Jim was a dedicated member of the United States Army before driving bus for the City of Milwaukee. He moved to the Fehring homestead to farm in 1954. Jim also worked for Gehl Co. for over 25 years before retiring in 1991. 

Jim enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing cards. His best moments were spending time with his children and grandchildren on his farm. 

Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years Lottie; children Katherine Fehring, Rita (John) Neuman, Jon (Diane), Jay (Kara), and Julie Loesl; grandchildren Corey (Laura), Andrew, Ryan, and Joshua Chitwood, Jesse (Heather) and Gina Neuman, Jenise, Noelle, Adam, and Rory Fehring, Jacob, Lucas, and Brenna Fehring, and Jordan and Zachary Loesl; and greatgrandchildren Benjamin, Marissa, Annabella, Katelynn, Christian, andMackenzie. He is further survived by his brothers Edward, Fr. Fabian, Carl (Delores), and Frank (Marlene) Fehring; sister-inlaw Grace Mroczkowski, and many other relatives, and dear friends. Jim is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Kristine; sister LaVerne "Tuttie" Hall; sister-in-law Bernice Fehring and brothers-in-law Robert Hall, and Chester and Carl Mroczkowski. 

A Memorial Service for Jim will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 200 E. Washington St. in Slinger with Fr. Richard J. Stoffel presiding. Visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until 6:15 p.m. at the CHURCH ONLY on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011. Private interment of ashes will take place at Old St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Slinger.
