James D. Mueller, 45
James D. Mueller, 45, of Ishpeming, MI,
formerly of Slinger, WI, passed on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, after a six
month battle with leukemia.
He was born July 27, 1966, in West Bend, WI to Ted and Bernice (nee
Breuer) Mueller. Jim graduated from Slinger High School in 1984 and then
enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served on the USS Whipple, based in Hawaii,
and was honorably discharged in 1990 as a First Class Petty Officer. On
August 18, 2005 Jim was united in marriage to Viola Sheltrow in Negaunee,
MI.
After his service in the Navy, Jim earned a bachelor of science in
electronics from the Cleveland Institute of Electronics and a bachelor of
science in computer science from World College. He was employed by
Invensys as a Process Control Engineer. In his free time, Jim enjoyed
woodworking.
Jim is survived by his wife, Viola; his parents, Bernice and Ted Mueller
of West Bend, WI; four brothers, Dan (Donna) Mueller of Nashville,
TN, Gary (Angela) Mueller of Virginia Beach, VA, Bob Mueller of Jackson,
WI, and Rick (Kim) Mueller of Slinger, WI, many aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends, and his two "best
buds," his dogs, Max and Brutus.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marie and Sylvester Breuer,
and Marie and Theodore Mueller, and an uncle, Robert Mueller.
A funeral service in remembrance of Jim will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15,
at 2 p.m. at the Myrhum – Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St.,
West Bend, WI. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 11
a.m. until the time of service. Cremation will follow the service and a
memorial service will be held in Michigan at a later date.
