Olive J. ‘Toody’ Goehring, 68
Toddy Goehring passed unexpectedly at her home in the Town of Scott on
October 8, 2011. She was 68 years old.
Olive was born in West Bend on Aug. 16, 1943, daughter of Oliver
and Evangeline Rudolph Lied. She grew up on the family farm, just
outside of Little Kohler. She graduated from Random Lake High School in
1961. Toddy was united in marriage with Robert Goehring on May 27, 1961.
The couple moved to rural Fredonia and raised their family.
Ms. Goehring worked at West Bend Co. / Regal Ware for many years, retiring
in 2005. After she retired Toddy went to work at Yellowstone National Park
for a few summers. Toddy lived in a house that she built herself out in
the Town of Scott.
She was a very self-sufficient woman who cut her own wood and did
gardening and landscaping. Ms. Goehring enjoyed riding and raising horses.
She was a member of the Tri County Band and played several instruments.
Toddy was enjoying her retirement and was happy to spend more time
with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by her three children: Wayne (Darlene) Goehring of
Fredonia, Todd (Cindy) Goehring of Minneapolis, MN and Wendy (Dan)
Weiss of Belgium. She is further survived by 7 grandchildren: Ryan,
Justin, Travis, Olivia, LillyAnne, Braden and Taylor, 1 great-grandson,
Nolan, 1 brother, Richard (Diane) Lied of Port Wing, WI, 2 sisters: Evie
(Richard) Rathke of Fredonia and Sylvia (Mark) Mondloch of Silver Creek,
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by
her parents and her former husband. Memorial Services will be held at 1:30
p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 171 N. Royal Ave.,
Belgium. The Rev. Robert Zick will officiate.
The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 11
