Ian was known and loved by people of all ages. He was one of Jesus’
special lambs. While on earth, Ian struggled with severe autism and epilepsy. Ian loved his family, his church (and church family) and Jesus. Ian attended Our Savior School for five years and Our Savior Sunday School for many more. After Our Savior School, Ian was home- schooled and spent much of his time in the library at the school with his mom, greeting all the students. Our Savior School and library was a special, safe place for Ian where he was loved and cared for.
Ian was an inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of meeting or knowing him. He enjoyed his many, many books, his videos and DVDs, Thomas the Tank Engine trains, Veggie Tales, Disney, Dr. Seuss and most of all his music. Ian loved to sing and dance and memorized easily. He loved hymns, Scripture memory songs, and Christian contemporary music. He loved going to Door County and his favorite activities were horse-back riding and most of all swimming!
Ian’s family will miss him very much, but we take comfort that he is in heaven with Jesus. Ian would want to remind everyone to: “have a big sigh,” “thumbs up” and “Jesus loves you too!”
