Phyllis J. Mueller, nee Bolin, age 75, of Hartford, formerly of West Bend, died on Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, at the Aurora Medical Center Washington County. She was born on Nov. 1, 1935, to the late Edward and Alice (nee Schallock) Bolin. 

On Feb. 20, 1945, she was united in marriage to James R. Mueller at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in West Bend. Jim predeceased Sept. 13, 1974. 

For more than 30 years, she worked at Amity Leather Products as a seamstress. For the past 3 years, she was a resident of the Hartford area. 

Phyllis had a love of animals. Over the years, she raised Arabian horses, dogs, cats and chickens. She also had and prize winning rabbits which were shown Washington County Fair. 

Survivors include a brother Ken (Corrine) Bolin; many nieces and nephews; a dear friend since childhood Doris Seaman; other relatives and friends. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters. 

There will be a gathering for family and friends on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend, with burial services following at St. Mary’s Cemetery (new).
