LaVern M. Koerble, 83, of Kewaskum, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at the Beechwood Rest Home in Beechwood. 

She was born on Feb. 14, 1928, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Edwin and Irene (Smith) Hron, and on Dec. 5, 1953, she was united in marriage to George Koerble at St. John’s Lutheran Church in West Bend. George preceded LaVern in death on Dec. 11, 1990. 

LaVern was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, and working in her yard. 

Those LaVern leaves behind to cherish her memory include two children, Keith Koerble of Kewaskum and Kriss (Richard) Prochnow of Campbellsport; four grandchildren, Jennifer Ackerman (special friend, Jason), Joshua (Amy) Ackerman, Kyle Prochnow and Kody Prochnow; two uncles, Webster Hron and Ray (Gladys) Hron both of West Bend; two stepchildren, George (Sue) Koerble and Kay Blight both of Springfield, Mo.; three brothers, Allen (Margaret) Hron of Kewaskum, Russell (Myrna) Hron and Fred (Cindy) Hron both of West Bend; two sisters, Dorothy Downs and Ruth (Duane) Wornardt both of West Bend; a sister-in-law, Shelby Hron of West Bend; a brother-in-law, Dennis Kocher, seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

In addition to her husband and parents, LaVern was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Ronald Hron, and two sisters, Phyllis Kocher and Carol Hron. 

In honor of her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private cemetery service will be held at Peace United Church of Christ Cemetery in Kewaskum with Rev. Eric Kirkegaard officiating.
