Barbara J. Regan, 58 Mrs. Barbara J. Regan (nee Crabtree), of Port Washington, formerly of Egan, Minn., and Waterloo, Iowa, passed away Sunday afternoon, Oct. 23, 2011, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. She was 58 years old. Barb was born Dec. 19, 1952, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Max Crabtree and Audrey Wiecks. After graduating from Dunkerton Community High School, she attended Hawkeye Technical College where she studied nursing. On Dec. 19, 1970, she was united in marriage with James Regan in Black Hawk County, Iowa. In the mid 1990s, the couple moved to Egan, Minn. Barb worked as an LPN at nursing homes in both Iowa and Minnesota. In 2000, the couple moved to Port Washington, where Barb worked at Microbrush in Grafton for two years. Barb enjoyed bowling, reading, watching soap operas and collecting hundreds of antique perfume bottles. Barb is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jim Regan, and their children, Danelle (Lance) Merrill and Christi Myers, both of Troutman, N.C. She is further survived by grandchildren, Karlie Myers, JJ Merrill, Jackie Merrill and Lexie Regan; sisters, Sandy Klammer of Denver, Iowa, and Nancy (Larry) Petty of Nashville, Tenn.; brother, Rick Crabtree of Iowa; sister-in- law, LaDonna (Tim) Sager of Denver, Iowa; brothers-in-law, Gary (Carol) Regan of Charles City, Iowa, and Dennis Regan of Grundy Center, Iowa; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donnie Crabtree; and grandson, Steven Myers. Private family services were held.
