Marcella E. Dornfeldt, 88


Marcella E. “Sally” Dornfeldt (nee Kurtz), 88, passed away Friday, Oct. 28, 2011. She was born in Horicon on April 9, 1923, to the late Albert and Hattie (nee Lamphear). On Feb. 8, 1941, she married Vilas F. Dornfeldt.
She enjoyed crafts, antiques, gardening, genealogy, reading, family get-togethers and her many pets. Marcella was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Horicon and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her two children Bette (William) Koch of West Bend and Robert Dornfeldt of Horicon; granddaughter Kathryn Galezio of Slinger and grandson Daniel J. Koch of Jackson; two great-grandchildren Logan and Keaton Galezio of Slinger; brother Donald (Joan) Kurtz of West Bend and sister Carol (Floyd) Ferries of Beaver Dam; sister-in-law Louise Kurtz of Beaver Dam. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marcella is preceded in death by her husband, brother Leonard Kurtz and two infant brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend). The visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at Stone Cemetery in Horicon on Monday, Oct. 31 at 10:30 a.m. Memorials are appreciated to the Dodge County Humane Society (N6839 State Road 26, Juneau, WI 53039) or National Parkinson Foundation Gift Processing Center (P.O. Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018).
