J. Susan ‘Sue’ Schroeter, 57

J. Susan “Sue” Schroeter, 57, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at her home with her family by her side.

Sue was born Sept. 26, 1953 in Marshall, Mich. to Jesse Irving and Virginia (Tech) Van Sickle. She graduated from Washington High School, Germantown, in 1971 and attended UW-West Bend campus.

On Dec. 3, 1988, Sue married Ronald “Ronnie” Schroeter in West Bend. She ministered as a secretary for 20 years, 12 of which were at Christian Life Assembly of God in Plymouth, retiring in 2008.

Sue was a member of Christian Life Assembly of God where she was involved in numerous church organizations. She was a Sunday school teacher, camp coordinator, choir director, Missionette’s leader, single moms coordinator, and the force behind the Sons of Thunder.

Sue loved her daily devotions, singing, directing and ministering through music, baking for Ronnie, gardening, and motorcycle riding.

Sue is survived by her: husband Ronnie; one daughter, Sarah Fettig of Arizona; two sons, Tim (Laurie) Fettig of Sheboygan, Andrew Jesse “AJ” Schroeter of Sheboygan Falls; five grandchildren, Emily and Rachel Fettig, Logan, Dominic, and Zoe Schroeter; mother, Virginia Van Sickle of Sheboygan Falls; one sister, Linda (Heath) Prosser of South Carolina; and her “special son” Paul Lundy of Sheboygan; other relatives and numerous friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Van Sickle.
Funeral services to celebrate Sue’s life will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at Christian Life Assembly of God in Plymouth with Rev. Richard and Rev. Sharon York officiating. Interment will be in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery, followed by time for food and fellowship at the church.

A gathering for relatives and friends will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, at Christian Life Assembly of God in Plymouth and one hour prior to the service Tuesday.

A memorial fund is being established in Sue’s name for Christian Life Assembly of God and Gideon's International.
