Gary A. "Garb" Biertzer, 51, of 702 Dayton St. Mayville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at the Ripon Memorial Hospital in Ripon. 

Memorial Mass will be held Friday, Sept. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville with the Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. 

Visitation will take place on Friday, Sept. 9, from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 6:30 p.m. at the church. 

Gary was born on June 11, 1960 to Miland P. Biertzer and Mary Ann Garms (Biertzer) in Waupun. He was a Mayville High School graduate in 1978. 

He was employed at Ripon Pickle Inc. where he worked in quality control. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. 

In his spare time, Gary enjoyed nature while camping, gardening, and sitting around the campfire. He was also an avid Green Bay Packers fan. 

Gary is survived by: his brothers, Thomas Biertzer of Mayville and Steven Biertzer of Cedarburg. His sister; Joellen Biertzer of Mayville. His niece, Cassie Biertzer, and his nephew, Shane Biertzer. Further survived by other relatives and many friends. 

He was proceeded in death by his parents.
