Helen M. Hensel, 83 Helen M. Hensel, 83, of Fond du Lac and formerly of Cedarburg and Elcho, passed away on Tuesday Sept. 6, 2011 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born July 20, 1928, in Cedarburg, a daughter to Edward and Hertha Keup Kohlwey. Helen met Howard Hensel at Shadbolt and Boyd in Milwaukee where the two worked, and on Sept. 16, 1950 they married in Cedarburg. She was the church secretary for Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg and later was the administrative assistant for Lasata Ozaukee County Home for the Aging until her retirement in 1985. Helen and Howard enjoyed 20 years of retirement at their Enterprise Lake home in Elcho. Survivors include her two children, Heidi (Dan) Senger of Fond du Lac and Peter (Sharon) Hensel of Appleton; five grandchildren, Hayley (Chris) Stuckel, Lucas (Samantha) Senger, Nick (Katie) Senger, Julie Hensel Woodrow and Erin Hensel Chisel; nine great grandchildren; one sister Karen (Vic) Seefeldt; one sister-in-law Georgia Kohlwey; also by nieces, great nieces, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard, her parents, and one brother, Vernon Kohlwey. A family service was held at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home Chapel with Pastor Dean Desilet presiding.
