Glen M. Ehnert, 77
Glen
M. Ehnert, 77, of Elm Grove was called home to be with our Lord and Savior
on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at Franciscan Woods in Brookfield.
He was born on June 12, 1934, in West Bend to the late Glenway and
Malinda (nee Quandt) Ehnert. Glen was raised on the family farm in New
Fane. He graduated from West Bend High School and later from Valparaiso
University where he earned his masters in aeronautical engineering. Glen
worked for North American Aviation for many years before changing careers
and working for various companies as a mechanical engineer. During that
time Glen also enjoyed operating a side business as a professional
photographer.
Glen loved to fly air planes and was a former member of the EAA
Experimental Aircraft Association. He was also a former member of a
barbershop quartet and current member of the Dairy Land Theater Organ
Society, the Wisconsin All-Users Computer Club, and the Vagabond Social
Club. Glen was very interested in politics and religion. He loved ballroom
and Polka dancing, and enjoyed making home made wine. Glen will be
remembered by his family and friends as being a kind and courteous man
who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Glen is survived by his special friend of 10 years, Marge Ekstowicz of
Brookfield; 9 cousins, Byrdell (Ivan) Schulz of Campbellsport, Val Rae
Wettstin of California, Pat Collins of West Bend, Delmar (Maria) Ehnert of
Florida, Sandy (Jon) Hilton of California, Richard (Joan) Ehnert of
Campbellsport, Barbara (Homer) Justman of West Bend, Cheryl (Harry) Beall
of New Fane, and Pamela (Dennis) Jacak of New Fane; and many other dear
relatives and close friends.
Funeral services in honor of Glen will be held on Friday, Sept. 16, at 11
a.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home in West Bend. Burial will follow in
Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on
Thursday, Sept. 15, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Friday from 10
a.m. until the time of service.
