As a young girl, Jean loved school, even running away to attend. She
was among the first class to graduate from Grafton High School. She
was disappointed that no one else loved school quite as much as she did.
Jean treasured her family and never forgot a special day. Her
children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their spouses
cherished the cards and handwritten notes that arrived without fail
celebrating their birthdays, anniversaries and other special events.
A woman of great faith, strength and character, she was the rock of
the family. Jean raised her young daughters alone both when Frank was
in the Navy and again after he passed away. Her love of family, faith
and her fun- loving spirit got her through the many challenges and
have left a legacy for generations to come.
