Jean Louise Sciezor, 93 Jean Louise (nee Hackett) Sciezor of Grafton found peace one week after her beloved husband, Harry, on Sept. 11, 2011 at the age of 93 years. She was born on May 25, 1918, to Everett Hackett and Pauline Relien. Jean married Frank Bintzler on Oct. 9, 1937, and they had three daughters. After the death of Frank, Jean married bachelor Harry Sciezor on Aug. 24, 1957, in Grafton. Jean and Harry had 54 wonderful years together. Jean was the loving mother of Jeanne (the late Wayne) Heidel, Patricia "Peachy" (Ted) Haischer, and Mary (Fred) Goetz. She was the adored grandmother of Renee (Wally) Miller, Ted (Lori) Haischer, Michael (Peggy) Haischer, Jeff (Wendy) Goetz, Jacquie (Glenn) Weihert, Tricia (Jeff) Harte, and Katie (Craig) Kennison. Jean is further survived by 17 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Jennifer Semmann. As a young girl, Jean loved school, even running away to attend. She was among the first class to graduate from Grafton High School. She was disappointed that no one else loved school quite as much as she did. Jean treasured her family and never forgot a special day. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their spouses cherished the cards and handwritten notes that arrived without fail celebrating their birthdays, anniversaries and other special events. A woman of great faith, strength and character, she was the rock of the family. Jean raised her young daughters alone both when Frank was in the Navy and again after he passed away. Her love of family, faith and her fun- loving spirit got her through the many challenges and have left a legacy for generations to come. A visitation will be on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 Washington Street, Grafton. A funeral service to honor Jean will follow visitation. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorials of your choice are appreciated. Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family. |
