Thurman C. Anderson
Thurman C. Anderson , 83, passed away Sept. 16, 2011.
Thurman was born on the family farm, July 12, 1928 in Noblesville, Ind. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Ann (Billie), proud father of James (Lynn) and Kristy (Mark) Wagne, grandpa to Calvin, Cameron, Zachary and Traeven, uncle to Robert "Bart" and David Vasel, and further survived by many friends.
Thurman was a caring man, who loved his family and friends deeply and in turn, will be greatly missed. He was proud of being an Eagle Scout, and a member of Pi Gamma Delta at Wabash College in Indiana, where he graduated in 1950. Thurman was also a lieutenant in the United States Air Force, a member of the Tripoli Shrine and co-founder of Badger Packaging Corporation. Badger Packaging is now an Anderson family business and on its second generation.
Thurman enjoyed his many friends and business associates in addition to watching sports, playing golf, fishing with his grandchildren, and most of all, playing gin rummy with his wife Ann.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at noon. Private family inurnment at the Memory Garden, Crossroads Presbyterian Church, after the service. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the Boy Scouts of America, the Salvation Army, or charity of your choosing.
