Barry W. Bertram, 63
Barry W. Bertram, 63, of West Bend, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011, at his residence with his wife and family by his side.
He was born on Oct. 31, 1947, to Buck and Leila (nee Menges) Bertram in Milwaukee. He graduated from John Marshall High School, class of 1965. Barry later attended MPTC of Fond du Lac for heating and air conditioning technician training. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Barry married Sally (nee Stelling) on Sept. 2, 1972, in Milwaukee. The couple lived in Milwaukee for six years and moved to West Bend in 1978. He was employed at Ron Albiero Heating & Air Conditioning of West Bend for over 15 years, retiring in September 2011.
Barry enjoyed spending time outdoors with friends and family. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Barry and his strong family commitment walked away from their encounter as an inspired and better person. He loved his wife and their children, and especially their twin grandchildren. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
Barry is survived by his loving wife Sally, children Nora (Kevin Minot) Bertram of Chicago, Sara Bertram of Chicago and Barry Jr. (Nillou Tabibi) of West Bend. He is further survived by his grandchildren Ellowyn and Walter Minot, his father Buck (Sharon) Bertram of Brookfield, step-brothers Jeff (Danielle) Jaeckle and David (Carol) Coulson, stepsisters Tina (Joe) Lander, Susan Bosley, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Leila Bosley and special family friends James Block and Capt. Kevin Kryst.
A funeral service for Barry will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 4 p.m. until time of service (7 p.m..) Memorials are appreciated to the Washington Co. Humane Society.
