Jerome D. ‘Jerry’ James, 71
Jerome D. "Jerry" James, 71, of Kewaskum passed away Wednesday
Sept. 28, 2011 at his residence. He was born and raised in Milwaukee,
graduated from Custer High School, and then joined the Marine Corps. He
married his first wife Susan Shklerikson in 1962. After the marriage
ended, he later married his second wife Linda on Feb. 23, 1979. He loved
fishing and was a great fan of the Packers. Jerry perfected the deep fried
turkey.
Jerry is survived by his wife and lifelong best friend Linda, children
Kimberly (Curly) Knoblauch, Troy James and Tammy (Mark) Thompson; and
grandchildren Ryan, Kyle (Jodi), Adam, Kolin, Dakotah, Leah and Gavin; two
great-grandchildren Lillian and Emrick; and brother Patrick (Karen)
Vanselow. He is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and
friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents David and Elaine (nee La
Court); daughter Whitney (the late Bruce) Slominski; son Toby; and sister
Sandy.
A memorial service will be held 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1 at the
Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Drive) in West Bend with
Rev. Robert Korytkowski presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home
Saturday, Oct. 1 from 1:30 p.m. until time of service.
