Kathryne E. Kratz, 85|
Kathryne E. Kratz (nee Mahn) “Kitty,” 85, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012.
She was born in Milwaukee on June 4, 1926, and moved to Slinger at age 11. After graduating from Slinger High School, she worked at the Hartford Times Press/Shinner Publications for 35 years. She spent seven years working at the Social Security Office in West Bend. She married William P. Kratz on Aug. 5, 1950, at St. John’s UCC in Slinger.
She was a member of St. John’s UCC in Slinger where she taught Sunday School for over 20 years. She was also a member of the Women’s Fellowship of St. John’s, Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post in Slinger and Royal Neighbors of America.
Kitty is survived by her children, William F. Kratz and Susan R. (Larry) Sprayberry; grandchildren, Elizabeth and John Sprayberry; and brother in-law, Robert (Sharon) Kratz.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Rose (nee Kern) Mahn; and her husband of over 44 years, William Kratz.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 6 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend (1420 W Paradise Drive) with Pastor Jack Freiheit presiding. The visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 11, from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. Interment will take place at Union Cemetery in Slinger.
