Nancy M. Fisher, 77
 

Nancy M. Fisher (nee Zimdars) passed away peacefully Sunday, April 15, 2012, at her home away from home in Treasure Island, Fla., at 77 years of age.

Nancy was born on Dec. 16, 1934, in Milwaukee. She was a 42-year resident of Cedarburg.

She is survived by her best friend, travel partner and husband of 53 years, Richard A. Fisher Sr. They were married in Milwaukee on May 3, 1958. Nancy was the ever-giving mother to Richard A. Fisher Jr. of Irving, Texas, and David (Windy) Fisher of Waterford; and devoted grandmother to Zachary and Maxwell Fisher. She is further survived by her sisters, Donna Buchek of Racine, Carol Grennier of Menomonee Falls, Patricia (Rich) Kissling of Menomonee Falls and Sandy (Fred) Stephens of Janesville; a brother, Bill Zimdars of Milwaukee; sisters- in-law Joanna Zimdars of West Bend, Marion Fisher of Ocala, Fla.; brothers-in-law, John Cornell of Lady Lake, Fla., and Richard Nelson.

She is survived by 12 nephews and 15 nieces, and many close friends, great-nieces and great-nephews and a special friend, Michael Kulhanek.

Preceding Nancy in death were her parents, Harold Sr. and Leona Zimdars; in-laws, Alvin and Laura Fisher; a brother, Harold Zimdars Jr.; brothers-in-law, Eddie Buchek, David Grennier, Lee Fisher and Don Fisher; sisters-in-law, Carol Fisher and Judy Fisher; and special Aunt and Uncle June and Joe Deutsch.

Nancy was a person who was very friendly to all. She will be remembered always as a person who always put others’ needs before hers. Nancy had a great knack of meeting people whereever she was.

Nancy was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She took great pride in being there for her family no matter what.

Nancy attended Washington High School in Milwaukee and a year of high school at Menomonee Falls High School, where she graduated. Nancy was employed at the Telephone Co., Red Owl Grocery and was self-employed, running a cleaning business that she retired from. She was very proud that she had visited 49 of 50 states, and had plans to see Alaska this year.

to 7 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. A private interment date will follow.
