Frederick F. Juedes, 87|
Frederick “Fred” F. Juedes, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at the Samaritan Health Center.
Fred was born on Dec. 2, 1924, in the town of Cedarburg to Walter and Erna (nee Hespe) Juedes. He attended public school in the town of Cedarburg and later received his GED in 1982 from Moraine Park Technical College.
Fred married Florence Calenberg on June 17, 1950, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg where they operated the family farm for five years. Fred and Florence then moved to West Bend in 1964. He loved his old-time music and enjoyed dancing where he met many wonderful friends. Fred also enjoyed playing horseshoes, poker and yard work.
Fred dedicated many years of service to Rundel Spence, Bergin Plumbing and Heating, Gehl Co., Johnson Bus Co., Server Products, and the Clothes Clinic.
Fred is survived by his wife of 61 years, Florence; two children Kenneth and Judy (Dale) Close; and two precious granddaughters, Heidi and Heather Close. He is further survived by his sisters-in-law Meta Juedes, Mona Juedes, and Ruth Wollner; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Fred is preceded in death by his two brothers Walter and William; brothers-in-law Willard Calenberg and Jerome Wollner; and sister-in-law Marion Calenberg.
A funeral service for Fred will be at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 1044 S. Silverbrook Drive in West Bend with Pastor Darin Wiebe presiding. Visitation will be from 3:30-6:15 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012, at the church only. Interment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park. Memorials are appreciated to Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to all the staff on the third floor at the Samaritan Health Center and the entire staff at the Cedar Hospice for all their wonderful care and compassion for Fred.
