Harold G. Pick, 90|
Harold G. Pick, 90, of Carmichael, Calif., formerly of West Bend, found peace with the Lord on Tuesday, March 6, at Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael, Calif.
He was born on July 20, 1921, in Shawano. He married Sophie Powalisz on Jan. 15, 1949. His wife passed away on Feb. 17, 2000.
He was a World War II veteran serving in the Army for three years.
He worked for 37 years as a serviceman for the Wisconsin Gas Company, retiring in 1983.
After his retirement he enjoyed traveling with his wife, Sophie, to California, Florida and Texas.
He also enjoyed meeting for breakfast on Wednesday mornings with his former coworkers.
His hobbies included bowling, golfing and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his children, Sandra (Kevin) Stenberg of Sacramento, Calif., Cynthia (Gregory) Paplacyzk of Allen, Texas, Raymond (Meladee) Pick of Jackson, a daughter-in-law Cynthia Pick of Gahanna, Ohio, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his two sons, Gregory Pick and Robert Pick, his two brothers, and six sisters.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 27, at 12:30 p.m. at Living Word Lutheran Church in Jackson. The family will greet relatives and friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimerís Association or the donorís choice are appreciated.
