Elizabeth
E. Jacak (nee Steinmetz), 97, formerly of Theresa, passed away on
Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
A
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Aug. 13, at noon
at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Theresa with the Rev. Dennis Budka
officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday, Aug. 13, from 10
a.m.-noon at the church. Burial will take place at Holy Angels Cemetery
in West Bend.
Elizabeth
was born the daughter of Michael and Mary (Nahr) Steinmetz on July 17,
1915, in the town of Jackson. On Nov. 28, 1933, she was married to Awald
Jacak in West Bend.
She
spent her years as a homemaker caring for the ones she loved. Elizabeth
with her husband Awald owned and operated Jacak’s Tap in St. Anthony
for 31 years. Later in life she was a nurse’s aide at the Cedar Lake
Home for 12 years until her retirement. She was a member of the
Theresa Homemakers and the Cedar Lake Home Retirement Club. In her spare
time Elizabeth enjoyed playing cards and cooking. She was also a member
of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Theresa.
Elizabeth
is survived by her sons: Clem (Judi) Jacak of Allenton and Jerome
(Donna) Jacak of Theresa; hergrandchildren : Craig (Michelle) Jacak, Carey (Jackie) Jacak, CameronJacak, Jama (Donald) Lillibridge,
Jennifer (Phil) Bishop, and Janel (Brian) Rieman; her
great-grandchildren: Joshua (special friend Samantha), Jeremy, Kayla,
Courtney, Justin, Caitlin, Charlotte, Sophia, Megan (special friend
Justin), Peyton, Dylan, Logan, and Ilysha; one great-great-grandchild,
Rylan. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She
was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Awald; one brother,
John Steinmetz; two sisters: Melinda Klein and Alvina Kimla; and one
infant daughter, Arlene.

may be directed to St. Theresa Catholic Church, St. John’s Lutheran
Church – Brown's Corners and Hope Assisted Living in Lomira. Special
thanks to the staff at Hope Assisted Living for their loving care.
