Keith
“Butch” Jones, 65, of Hartford passed away on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012.
Butch
was born on July 31, 1947, in Hartford to Glen and Dolores (nee Scharpf)
Jones. He was united in marriage to Janet Collins on Aug. 8, 1970, at St.
Patrick’s Catholic Church, Thompson.
Butch
was a meat cutter by trade. He worked for Schwartz Brother’s Market in
Hartford and Gundrum’s Meat Market in Slinger. Butch also worked at
Broan Manufacturing. He loved to work with wood. He built beautiful
furniture and cabinets. Butch loved fishing and auto racing, especially
NASCAR and NHRA. One of the thrills of his life was meeting his favorite
driver, Bobby Allison.
Butch
is survived by his wife Janet; his children Tom (Brenda) Jones of Erin and
Nicole (Robert) Oppermann of Richfield; grandchildren Katelyn, Mason and
Emma; his brother James (Linda) Jones of Rubicon; and his brother-in-law
Gary Blankenheim of Horicon. He is further survived by nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
Butch
was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Mary Blankenheim.
Funeral
services for Butch will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at 7 p.m. at
the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St., Hartford) with the Rev. David
LaPlante officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends on
Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. service.
Interment
will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Thompson.
