James G. Hedges Jr., 60


James Gordon Hedges Jr. passed away in his home the night of Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, in Hartford with his family and beloved canine friend, Rocky, by his side.

James was born on Nov. 23, 1951, in Des Moines, Iowa to James Gordon Sr. and Gloria (Ingram) Hedges, both of whom preceded him in death.

As an artist at heart, James had many talents. His passion and talent for working with stained glass and custom paintings on various media are among the many talents and gifts we will remember of Jim. These works will be remembered and appreciated by his family and friends for years to come. James also enjoyed a relaxing ride on his motorcycle in his spare time.

He is survived by his beloved wife Cathy L. Hedges (Belsha) and daughters Jennifer (Steve) Dietenberger (nee Hedges) and Gina Hedges; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service in his honor will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at Willowbrook Park in Hartford.
