A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at 11
a.m. at the Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory in Grafton,
for Wayne Elgin, of Grafton, who passed away on Aug. 20,
2012, at the age of 82. A visitation will take place on
Friday, at the funeral home, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and
also on Saturday, prior to the funeral service, from 10
a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Woodlawn
Cemetery in Grafton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Great Lakes
Sports Fishermen Club of Ozaukee County are appreciated.

Wayne was born on June 3, 1930, in Clarksville, Mo.,
the son of Charles Louis Elgin and Mary Frances (nee
Davidson) Elgin. He later married Dorothy Cable on Sept.
4, 1954, in Louisiana, Mo. Their marriage was blessed
with three children, Rock, Jeff and Mel. Wayne was
employed by Milwaukee Machine Products as a machinist
for more than 20 years. He also worked for Economy
Bushing in Mequon and retired in 1997. Wayne was an avid
sportsman, who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a
charter member of the Great Lakes Sports Fishermen Club
in Ozaukee County. He also enjoyed gardening and
spending time outdoors, but his true love was spending
time with his loving family.
Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy (nee
Cable) Elgin; children, Rock (Pam) Elgin, Jeff (Wendy)
Elgin and Melody "Mel" Elgin; grandchildren, Amy (Jason)
Luedtke, Jennifer Gelinskey, Ben Griessmeyer, John
Franklin, Sam Franklin and Kathryn (Quinn) Gagnon;
great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jack and Grant Luedtke,
Kaley Gelinskey and Tristan Gagnon; siblings, Guy Elgin
and Dewanah (Joe) Suddarth; sister-in-law, Ann (Dean)
Trammel; and brother-in-law, Bruce (Debbie) Cable. He is
further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and
many, many friends.
