Joseph
“Joe” H. Kahlscheuer, 79, passed away on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012. He was
born on Aug. 22, 1933 to Ray and Alma (nee Werner) Kahlscheuer. He was
born, raised and continued to live
on the family homestead, where he enjoyed working in his fields. Some of
his favorite pastimes included gardening and playing cards, and he loved
to give his grandkids “gator” rides. He was a member of the Board of
Directors for Midland Co-op, Farm Bureau of Washington County, Knights of
Columbus Council No. 1964, Director of ASC, Moose Lodge No. 1398, and a
charter member of St. Frances Cabrini. He was a former deputy of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Department.Joe
is survived by his loving wife, Donna (nee Peters); cherished children,
Patricia (Curt) Clark, Diane (Robert) Banaszak, Robert (Sarah) Kahlscheuer,
MaryJo (Kim) Eggers, and Joyce (Keith) Schneider; grandchildren, Laura and
Kayla Peters, Kevin (Jenny Cybela) and Kyle (Sarah Thurs) Banaszak,
Justin, Bailee, Nicole, and Joshua Eggers, Kelsey and Riley Schneider;
step grandchildren, Melissa (Matt) Bork, and Miranda (friend Steve Mason)
Clark; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Wyatt Bork; brother, Leroy
(Charlotte) Kahlscheuer; brothers-in-law, Albert, Wayne (Lynn), and Dennis
(Nancy) Peters; and nieces and nephews, Lawrence (Diane) Kahlscheuer, Eileen
(Robert) Spake, Debbie (friend Brian) Anderson, Karen (Ken) Baker, Terry
(Laura) Peters, Brenda (Skip) Rumppe, Gary (Lisa) Peters, Randy (Patty)
Peters, Jeff (Lisa) Peters, Wonda
Wolfe, Tammy (Leroy) Stasson, Scott (Kim) Peters, Janice (Don) Gehring,
Mark (Tamar) Peters, Mike (Dawn) Peters, Marty (Sara) Peters, Ginger
(Mike) Auchter, and Jessie Peters. He is further survived by other family
and many dear friends.
He
is preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Raymond and Eleanor
Peters; son-in-law, Joseph Peters; and sister-in-law, Jean Peters.
The
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Aug. 27, 2012 at 6:30
p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Parish (1025 S. Seventh Ave., West Bend, WI
53095). The visitation will be at church on Monday, Aug. 27 from 3-6:15
p.m. Interment will take place at Holy Angels Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be made to St. Frances Cabrini School or St.
Frances Cabrini Boiler Repair Fund.
The
