Barbara
A. Stockhausen (nee Bohn), 78, of Newburg died Wednesday, Dec.12, 2012,
at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend. She was born Sept. 9, 1934
in West Bend to the late Roman and Marie (nee Brodzeller) Bohn and
married Alois M. Stockhausen on June 19, 1954, at St. Mary’s Immaculate
Conception Church in Barton.
Barb enjoyed traveling and playing cards but truly loved to spend time
with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She often looked forward to catching up with old friends and classmates
by going to reunions or just going out to lunch.
Barb was a very active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg
and was an active member of the Christian Mothers.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 58 years, Alois, her seven
children: Ann Stockhausen of West Bend, Kathy (Dave) Ostrowski of
Milton, John (Brenda) of West Bend, Joel (Patti) of Grafton, James
(Linda) of West Bend, Jay (Camie) of Cambridge, Iowa and Paul
(Stephanie) of West Bend and her seven grandchildren: Tony, Amanda,
Michael, Laura, Katie, Noelle and Abby. She is further survived by her
two sisters: Helen Haumschild of Clearwater, Fla. and Elaine Brunner of
Fredonia, a sister in- law Janis (Robert) Weyker of Kewaskum, nieces,
nephews, and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by
her parents Roman and Marie Bohn, her stepmother Clara (nee Matheus),
her brother William Bohn, her in-laws, Aloys and Marian Stockhausen, and
two brothers-in-law James Haumschild and Howard Brunner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at
10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg with burial
following in Holy Trinity Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Kowalske will
preside. The family will greet relatives and friends for a period of
visitation on Friday, at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend from 4
p.m. until a rosary at 7 p.m. and also Saturday, at the church from
9:30-10:15 a.m.
The family would like to express a sincere and heartfelt thank you to
the staff at the St. Luke’s Transplant Center and all the nurses and
staff at the Samaritan Health Center for the kind and compassionate care
given to Barbara.
