Norma Martha-Augusta Westphal (nee Hafemann), 88, passed away on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Cedar Lake Health Care Center.

She was born in the town of Jackson on Aug. 9, 1924, to Emil and Anna (nee Zuelsdorf) Hafemann. Norma married Walter Sr. and dedicated her life to being a homemaker and helping on the farm.

She is survived by her son, Walter Jr.; daughter, Janice (James) Moore; grandsons, Jason and Mark Moore; and brother-in-law, Adolph Derge. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilbert (Erna), Paul (Eleanore), and Harold (Eva); and a sister-in-law, Anita Derge.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at 1 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (799 St. Paul Drive, Slinger) with the Rev. David Hein presiding. The visitation will be at the church from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford.
