Karen Ann Wink, 66 Karen
Ann Wink, 66, of Wausaukee, passed away peacefully with her family by
her side at 12:12 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Bay Area Medical
Center. She was born on April 29, 1946, in Milwaukee; daughter of the
late Roy and Myrtle (Meyer) Bolender. Karen graduated from Oak Creek
High School. She married James “Jim” Wink when she was 19 at St. Johns
Lutheran Church. She was Junior Ms. Oak Creek and runner-up Ms.
Wisconsin. Karen loved riding horses and she was 4H project leader for
many years. Karen and Jim moved to Wausaukee in 2000. She was always by
her husband’s side. She was a great cook, loving mother and grandmother,
and will be missed by all who knew her. Karen is survived by two sons:
Shannon (Lori) Wink and Craig Wink; grandchildren: Kaitlin, Nicole,
Kelly Brook, Tyler and Ethan; a brother, Lyle “Butch” (Elayne) Bolender;
and numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by
her husband, Jim, and her parents.A celebration of life will be 4 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 15, 2012, at New Hope United Church of Christ in Jackson, with the Rev. James Hill officiating.
