Marvelle H. Eernisse,
Marvelle H. Eernisse, 89, of Grafton, passed away at her residence on Friday, Dec.14, 2012.
She was born Nov. 13, 1923, in Grafton, the daughter of William and Iona Graff Hilgart. Marvelle was a graduate of Grafton High School and on April 17, 1945, she married Robert Eernisse at St. Joseph Church, Grafton. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Rose-Harms American Legion Auxiliar, and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; three sons, William (Nadine) of Grafton, Bruce "Virgil" (Janice) of Tennessee and Brian (Becky) of Oostburg; four daughters, Lynn Mary Holzer of Grafton, Laurie (David) Schwalbe of Grafton, Lee Anne Reif of Grafton and Lisa (Randy) Mueller of Saukville; 23 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; her brother, James (Lucille) Hilgart of Grafton; four sisters, Marceline(Leroy) Paulin of Grafton, Beatrice Blank of Sanibel Island, Fla., Beverly (Eugene) Proefrock and Marilyn Clemins of Grafton; sisters-in- law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Joseph, Robert Jr. and Bert; her daughter-in-law, Linda; three brothers, Robert, William and Francis; and her sister, Valeria.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday evening, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1619 Washington St., Grafton.
Interment was in the St. Joseph Parish Cemetery. Visitation was at the church Monday from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Cedarburg, is assisting the family with arrangements.
