Jan Schroeder, 57
Jan Schroeder (nee Rossa), 57, of West Bend, began her journey to
eternal life on Monday, Dec. 17. She was born to William and Edith Rossa
on June 29, 1955.
She is preceded in death by her sister Judy (Rossa) Sheridan.
She is survived by her son George “Chris” Schroeder and wife Amanda, her
brother Bill and wife Carol, her brother Alan and wife Patti, and
sister-in-law Peaches Seitz. She leaves behind many close friends,
relatives, and caregivers at Cedar Community who treated her as family.
Jan attended West Bend East High School and was a lifelong member at
Fifth Avenue Methodist Church where she also participated in the church
choir. She often stated that her “lottery ticket” was a room filled and
time spent with family, friends, and laughter.
Jan is known for her never-ending sense of humor, infectious laugh, the
true meaning of unconditional love and was wise in life beyond her
years. She showed many during their trying times that a person doesn’t
have to look far to see someone who’s struggles are far greater. Then
she’d make a joke to lighten the situation and everyone would laugh. Jan
would light up an entire room with her presence. She truly made the
world a better place in her short time with us.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at the
Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive in West Bend.
