Elizabeth E. Wills, 81


Elizabeth E. Wills, 81, passed away on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012. Elizabeth was born on Aug. 31, 1931 in Wilton, Wis. to Raymond and Irene (nee Berendes) Rice graduating from Wilton High School in 1949. She then attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Kankakee, Ill. and received her nursing degree in 1953 and went on to work at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee, Ill. Elizabeth married Douglas Wills on Oct. 18, 1958 in Tomah, and was a nurse at Milwaukee County Medical Complex and later St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend.

She loved to cook, read and spend time with her grandchildren. Betty found great enjoyment and support in the company of her Bridge Group, her true friends and companions for over 40 years. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini of West Bend.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband Doug; children Julie (Carl) Horn of Salem, Richard of Menasha, Chris (Julie) of Wauwatosa; and grandchildren Abigale (Tom) Hall, Andrew, Katelyn, Maddie, Jacob, Chloe, Casey and Charles. She is further survived by her brothers William (Rita) Rice, Richard (Pat) Rice; sisters-in-law Lorraine Jaworski and Kathy Rice; brothers-in-law Warren Wills and Bruce Wills; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; grandchildren Joseph Horn, Joely Wills; daughter-in-law Julie Dricken Wills; brothers Robert Rice and Michael Rice, brother-in-law John Jaworski; and sisters-in-law Margaret and Betty Wills.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at 1 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church (1025 S. Seventh Ave., West Bend). The visitation will be held at the church on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Frances Cabrini or St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation. Inurnment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park.
