Erlah
Zimmerman, of Luxemburg, passed away while at Rennes Health Center on
Monday evening Dec. 17, 2012, one week after her 88th birthday. She was
born in Slinger to the late Edwin and Hilda (Hermann) Horsch.
Erlah lived in the Milwaukee area and moved to the Green Bay area in
1980 to be closer to her family. She worked as a medical
transcriptionist, but more enjoyed her work as music teacher. She formed
a remarkable bond with her music students of all ages. Her enjoyments
included knitting, her cats, birds, reading and history.
Survivors include one son, Laurence (LouAnn) Zimmerman, Green Bay; three
grandchildren, Andy (Christine) Zimmerman, Luxemburg, Adam (Stacy), New
Franken, and Hannah (Josh Jones) Zimmerman, Madison; six
great-grandchildren, Brandon, Tyler, Devon, Allison, Dylan Zimmerman,
and Marissa Vervoren; and one brother, Ed (Dena Reuwsaat) Horsch,
Slinger.
Erlah was preceded in death by one son, Richard Zimmerman, one grandson,
Ricky Zimmerman, and one sister Arlene (Don) Krentz.
Friends may call at McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg, 4-7 p.m., Friday,
Dec. 21, 2012. Closing parish prayer service 7 p.m. Burial in Frieden
Cemetery, Jackson.
