Oliver John Karrels,
Oliver John Karrels, 87, of Grafton went to his Heavenly Father on De. 15, 2012, surrounded by his loving and caring children.
Oliver was born in Port Washington to John and Barbara (nee Prom) Karrels on Feb. 24, 1925.
On Aug. 2, 1952, he married Janet (nee Dickmann) at St. Joseph Parish in Grafton.
Oliver was an Army veteran, member of the American Legion Rose Harms Post 355 in Grafton, Catholic Order of Foresters, St. Joseph Parish in Grafton and worked at Simplicity Manufacturing in Port Washington before retiring in May of 1987.
He is survived by his loving children, Gary (Ruth) Karrels of Belgium, Sandra Prochnow of Cedarburg and Roseann (LeRoy) Dahm of Port Washington; grandchildren, Chrissy Reinders of Grafton, Katie Karrels of Grafton, Brian Prochnow of Tucson, Ariz., Jason Prochnow of Richfield, Melissa Dahm of Wauwatosa, Andrew Dahm of Minneapolis, Matthew Dahm of Oshkosh and Emily Dahm of Port Washington; great- grandchildren, Zach, Morgan, Kaitlyn, Logan and Riley; brother, Franklin (Annabelle) Karrels of Port Washington; sisters, Lorraine Weyker of Seymour, Janet Becker of Port Washington; sisters-in-law, Anne Karrels of Saukville, and Dorothy Karrels of Port Washington; many other relatives and friends.
Oliver was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one sister, Adeline Bolz; two brothers, Wilfrid and LeRoy Karrels; and grandson, Timothy Karrels.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1619 Washington St., Grafton. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church or the American Legion Rose-Harms Post 355 are appreciated The family would like to especially thank the staff at Columbia St.
