Rita O. Zehren
Rita
O. Zehren, 96, of Kewaskum, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at
Kettle Moraine Gardens in Kewaskum, where she has been a resident for 20
years, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Nov. 17, 1916, in Campbellsport, the daughter of the late
John and Eleanor (Gremminger) Miller, and on Nov. 24, 1942, she was united
in marriage to Eugene Zehren at St. Kilian Catholic Church in St. Kilian.
Eugene passed away on July 30, 1989.
Rita was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum for 66
years.
Those Rita leaves behind to cherish her memory include three children,
Judy (James) Jaeger of Campbellsport, David (Carole) Zehren of the town of
Auburn and Mary (Dennis “Whitie”) Larsen of West Bend; three
grandchildren, Jesse Jaeger, Jeanne Jaeger and Joel (Elise) Larsen; two
great-grandsons, Miller and Cabot Larsen; a brother, Francis Miller of
Baraboo; a sister, Florence Simon of Campbellsport; a brotherin- law, Al
(Marge) Zehren of Kewaskum, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Rita was preceded in death by a
granddaughter, Julie Jaeger; two brothers, Benno (MaryAnn) Miller and
George Miller; two sisters, Agnes (Bob) Schenk and Julia (Norbert)
Broecker; three brothers-in-law, Linus Simon, Leo (Madeline) Zehren and
Florentine (Dorothy) Zehren.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Rita will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec.
28, 2012, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Father Edwin
Kornath will officiate and burial will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the
parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 1 p.m. until
the time of Mass.
Memorials to KEYS (Kewaskum Youth Scholarship), Holy Trinity Catholic
Church or Grace Hospice are appreciated.
