Steven was born in Milwaukee on Sept. 15, 1967, the son of James and Marilyn (nee Christmann) Beck. He was a 1986 graduate of Cedarburg High School. He continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in occupational safety in 1993. Steven has been employed for the last 10 years at CH2M Hill, which is a very large international construction company. His responsibilities were training and setting up programs to meet government regulations and ensure safety of company employees. Steven played youth hockey and encouraged his son to follow in his footsteps. He was a lover of the north woods, loved boating and was an avid fisherman, but also was a “Musky Hunter.” Steven adored his two children and on most weekends, his time was centered around his children’s activities.|
Steven is survived by his parents, James and Marilyn; children, Sebastian and Alexa “Lexi;” and a sister, Kristin (Sean) Martin. He was the dear uncle of Andrew and Norah Martin; and is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
