William Charles ‘Bill’ Bowe William Charles "Bill" Bowe entered into eternal life on Feb. 1, 2012, in Tucson, Ariz. Bill was married to Carolyn (Czizek) for 56 years. He is further survived by four children, Ellen (Jeff) Ehlers, Patti (Daniel) Frazier, Dan (Laurie) Bowe, and Michael (Linda) Bowe. Bill was blessed with 11 grandchildren, Nicholas, Natalie and Madelyn Ehlers; Andrew, Molly and Danny Frazier; Christina, Rachael and Will Bowe; and Kaitlin and Kristin Bowe. He is further survived by his sister, Elizabeth Bowe. Preceding Bill in death were his son, William; daughter, Mary Elizabeth; parents, William and Ella Bowe; and sisters, Eleanor Bowe and Mary Jane (Bert) Ehrisman. Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Bill was born and raised in Waukesha. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and subsequently graduated from Marquette University with a degree in civil engineering. Alaska and Guam were places of temporary employment before Bill settled down in Milwaukee. He proceeded to work for C.G. Schmidt Construction Co. as their estimator for 37 years. Upon retirement, Bill and Carolyn spent their winters in Tucson. Golf and baseball were his passions, both as a player and a spectator. Bill loved playing cards, especially bridge and cribbage. He was a devout member of Lumen Christi Parish in Thiensville, WI, and St. Pius X Parish in Tucson. A Mass of celebration will be held at Lumen Christi Catholic Church in Thiensville on Monday, Feb. 13, at noon. Visitation will occur from 10 a.m. to noon before the Mass.
