Josephine M. “Josie” Schultz, nee Meer, 52, of West Bend, died on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 at The Kathy Hospice at the age of 52. She was born on Oct. 27, 1959 in Mequon, the youngest daughter, and the eighth of 10 children, of William and Lucille (nee Noeske) Meer.
On May 3, 1980, she was united in marriage to Robert F. Schultz at Memorial Lutheran Church in Glendale.
Josie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who was much loved by all of her brothers and sisters. She found great joy in all children, particularly babies of all types.
She was a member of Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women group president and was also president of Neighborhood Aglow.
Survivors include her beloved husband Robert; three cherished children Josh, Erin and Andrew; and her precious grandchildren Jacob, Clarissa and Brandon. She is further survived by her mother Lucille; brothers and sisters Dan (Sandra) Meer, Larry (Jenny) Meer, Tom (Karen) Meer, Rosie Meer (Neil Dominy), Mary (Mike) Jaedike, Terry (Steve) Titus, Jim Meer and Christine Reichert; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father William Meer, one sister Kathleen Meer, one niece Amie Titus and her parents-in-law Edward and Edith Schultz.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeremy Deaner officiating. The family will greet relatives and friend at the church only on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m., and also following the services during a reception.
The family has requested memorials to The Kathy Hospice or Fifth Avenue United Methodist Women.
