Audrey A. Heroux, 83 Audrey A. Heroux, 83, longtime resident of Grafton, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 at the Desert Sunshine Assisted Living facility in Chandler, Ariz. In recent years, Audrey struggled with health issues and spent the remaining years in Arizona with her two daughters. Audrey was born on Aug. 10, 1928, in Kewaunee to John and Pauline Romdenne. On Jan. 25, 1947, she married her husband of 46 years, Francis J. Heroux, of Oconto who preceded her in death in 1993. A member of St. Joseph’s Congregation since 1963, she participated in various church functions and school activities. In her younger years, Audrey was an avid bowler, quilter, canner, card player and sports enthusiast, following the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, Badgers and local school teams. Audrey is survived by her five children, Patricia (Phil) Burton, Robert (Kristine) Heroux, Joseph (Jolinda) Heroux, Theresa Foster and John (Regina) Heroux; grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer, Aaron, Shanna, Jena, Jacob, Brett, Molly, Jason, Todd, Mathew, Shannon and Ben; great-grandchildren, Ashlee, Colin, Katie, Erin, Lola, Parker, Tyler and Trevor; sister, Norma of Kewaunee; and other dear relatives and friends. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Vince and Pete; sister Claire, brothers- and sisters-in-law. Funeral services and a Mass of Christian faith will be held on Saturday, March 3, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Grafton, followed by a graveside ceremony at St. Joseph’s cemetery in Grafton. Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. preceding the funeral Mass in the church gathering hall. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Joseph’s Church in honor of Audrey. The family would like to thank St. Mary’s hospital and affiliated clinics, Sarah Chudnow Assisted Living facility, Jackson Crossings Assisted Living facility, Village of Ocotillo Assisted Living facility and Desert Sunshine Assisted Living facility staffs, friends and relatives for the care and comfort they provided. |
