Irma A. Jeserig, 96

Irma A. Jeserig, 96, of Kewaskum, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.

She was born on April 24, 1915, in Germany, the daughter of the late Otto and Matilda (nee Wichtel) Lemke. On October 4, 1941, she was united in marriage to John Jeserig. The couple came to the United States in 1949 and settled in Milwaukee. John preceded Irma in death on Aug. 10, 1978.

Irma was a member of the St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum, Berliner Bears in Milwaukee and was a volunteer for many years at German Fest in Milwaukee. Irma enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint.
Those Irma leaves behind to cherish her memory include her son, Dennis (Pamela) Jeserig of Kewaskum; two grandchildren, Christopher (Jill) Jeserig and Daniel (Stacy) Jeserig; four great-grandchildren, Lauren, Jackson, Parker and Leah Jeserig; a sister, Trudchen Krueger of Germany; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Irma was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerhardt and Bruno Lemke.

Funeral services for Irma will be held at noon on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. The Rev. Timothy Henning will officiate and burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Milwaukee.
Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Lucas Lutheran Church are appreciated.
