Erna E. Haeuser
Erna E. Haeuser (nee Wolfgram) of West
Bend, formerly of Cascade,
passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, February 23,
2012
at Cedar Bay West Assisted Living facility in West Bend. She was
91
years old. Erna was born on March 12, 1920 in Cedarburg, daughter
of
Bianca Benicke Wolfgram and Robert Wolfgram.
After her mother
passed away when she was three, and her father got remarried to Mary Matioch, who Erna loved very much. On September 14, 1940 she
married Harland Haeuser at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. The
couple farmed in the Waubeka area, and then later near Cascade.
Erna was
a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade, and also a member
of the Mission Circle, and taught Sunday School at the church for many years. She enjoyed baking, cross stitch, watching Wheel of
Fortune
and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by
her eight children; Eldred (Darlene) Haeuser of West Bend, Jeanette (Donald) Schuh of Campbellsport, Kenneth Haeuser of Birmingham, AL, LeRoy (Lori) Haeuser of Mequon, Jean (Jerome) Eckert of Elkhart
Lake,
Gordon (Sandy) Haeuser of Newburg, Glen "Buck" (Linda) Haeuser
of
West Bend and Joan (John) Daggett of St. Cloud. She is further
survived by 35 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-
grandchildren, 1 sister-in-law Ruth (the late Rudy) Wolfgram of
Brown
Deer, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, one infant son, Craig, two
grandsons Thomas Haeuser and Eldred K. "Butch" Haeuser, her
infant
great-granddaughter Natalie Riddick, two brothers Rudolph and
Frederick Wolfgram, one sister Erma Wulff, brothers-in-law Elroy,
Raymond and Earl Haeuser, and sisters-in-law Alice Wolfgram, and
Dorothy, Mabel, and Marcella Haeuser, and her special friend Lester
Eickstedt.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 27 at 11 a.m. at St.
Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade with Rev. Richard Bidinger
officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in
the
parish cemetery. Visitation was held on Sunday, Feb. 26 from 4
p.m.
to 7 p.m. at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave.,
Cedarburg, and also Monday, Feb. 27 from 10 a.m. 11 a.m. at St.
Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade. A memorial fund is being
established in her name for St. Paul’s Lutheran Sunday School.
The Eernisse Funeral Home, Cedarburg is assisting the family.
