Albert A. Feucht, 88

Albert A. Feucht of West Bend died on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012 at the Samaritan Health Center at the age of 88. He was born on June 9, 1923 on the family homestead in Leroy to the late Michael and Mary (nee Schraufnagel) Feucht. He attended St. Andrew's Catholic Grade School in Leroy and later Mayille High School.

From 1941-42, Al worked at St. Agnes Hospital. He then entered the United States Army. He was assigned to the 774 Tank Destroyer Battalion, serving in Germany during World War II. Following his discharge, he returned to the Leroy area and resumed his job at St. Agnes Hospital.

On Oct. 12, 1946, he was united in marriage to Alieta M. Anders at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Cambpellsport. The couple then settled in West Bend. For 39 years, he was employed at the West Bend Company, retiring in 1985.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and teaching children baseball. He also spent time at his getaway retreat in Princeton.

He was a member of the 25 Year Club at West Bend Company, the Holy Name Society, Loyal Order Of Moose West Bend Lodge 1398 and was a founding member of St. Vincent de Paul in West Bend.

Survivors include five children, Dave (fiancée Judy Pint) of Campbellsport, Ken (Daryl) of Port Washington, Dale (Judy) of West Bend, Karen of Kewaskum and Jay of Campbellsport; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren ; close family friend Robin Wright of Kewaskum; one brother, Henry of Milwaukee; one sister, Marie Sabel of Fond du Lac; two sisters-in-law, Viola (Ervin) Gonnering of West Bend and Leona Lord of West Bend; one brother-in-law, David Anders of Green Bay; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters Michael, Andrew, Joseph, Anthony, Leo, Sr. Michaelinda, Anges Krupfl and Elizabeth Sabel, one step-brother, John, and one step-sister, Grace Ruplinger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Jan. 5 at 6 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Burial with military honors will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Holy Angels Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends during a period of visitation on Thursday at the church only from 3 until 5:45 p.m.

The family has requested Masses or memorials to Holy Angels School Trust Fund.
