Sophie T. Caprariello, 92 Sophie T. Caprariello (nee Bugaj) of Milwaukee, formerly of Cedarburg, was called to her heavenly home on Dec. 14, 2011, at the age of 92. She was born Sept. 30, 1919, and raised in Albertson, N.Y., later moved to Port Washington, N.Y., where she resided for 35 years. She was a member of St. Peter’s Parish. In 1986, she moved to Cedarburg, where she resided for nine years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent. She is survived by her beloved children, Charles (Linda) Caprariello of Middleton and Margaret Caprariello of Cedarburg; adored grandchildren, Aaron (Jodi), Peter, Andrew and Alex. She is further survived by her loving sisters, Ann (Vincent) Kokernak, Helen Hillard and Jane Brown, along with nieces, nephews and the family of her late husband. Sophie enjoyed many hobbies. Gardening, cooking, walking and working with children were among her favorites. She owned her own catering business in New York for over 20 years. She was a member of the Cedarburg Striders and the Cedarburg Senior Center. She was known to many children as "Grandma Sophie" in the preschool where she assisted and at the nursery in her church. She was also known for her strength, humor and her dedication to family. The family wishes to thank the dedicated nurses and staff at Eastcastle Place, Bradford Terrace and Horizon Hospice for their wonderful care and love. Visitation and services were held in Port Washington, N.Y., and burial as at Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, N.Y. |
