Robert C. Hintz, 73
Robert
C. Hintz, 73, of Campbellsport passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2012 at
Seasons Hospice in Waukesha. He was born on Nov. 25, 1938 in Sheboygan the
son of Arthur and Evelyn (nee Muench) Hintz. Bob was baptized on Jan. 22,
1939 and confirmed on May 11, 1952 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town
of Scott. On June 22, 1963, he married Patricia Eggert at Peace United
Church of Christ in Kewaskum. Bob served in the U.S. Navy from October
1959 to September 1962. He worked at Gehl Company and then as a roofer for
30 years, first for Carroll Haug Roofing and then for F. J. A.
Christiansen Roofing, and in retirement Bob enjoyed working at the Ben
Franklin in Campbellsport.
Bob was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Campbellsport where he
served on the Church Board and belonged to Immanuel Lutheran Men’s Club.
He was a founding member of the Campbellsport Athletic Association and was
an avid Packer and Nascar fan. One of Bob’s greatest enjoyments was
watching his grandchildren’s activities.
Survivors include his wife Patti, his children Laurie (Bill) Hatch of
Campbellsport, Mike (Pam) Hintz of New Fane and Linda (Steve) Pappenheimer
of Schaumburg, Ill., his grandchildren Craig and Holly Hatch and Hayley
and Heather Hintz, his sister Joan Binder of Rowlett, Texas, his
brother-in-law John Eggert, his nephews Guy, Patrick and Scott Binder and
David and Kevin Eggert, and other relatives and many friends. He was
preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law
Harold and Esther Eggert, his sister-in-law Jane Eggert, and his
brother-in-law Daniel Binder.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012 at 7 p.m. at
Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, 350 S. Helena St., Campbellsport. Rev. Paul
Cerny will officiate and burial will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Union
Cemetery Campbellsport.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 p.m. until time of services at the
church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Immanuel Ev.
Lutheran Church.
