Rudolph J. Kirchberger, 91|
Rudolph J. Kirchberger, a longtime resident of the Thiensville-Mequon
area, was born to eternal life Jan. 14, 2012, at the age of 91.
He was the beloved husband for 69 years of Doris (nee Haasch).
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joan (Robert) Ehrhardt;
son, Donald Kirchberger; brother, Walter (Ellen) Kirchberger; and
sister, Marie Ketter.
Rudy was the dear father of Mary (Peter) Krol; loving grandfather of
Jennifer (Shane) Gilbertson, Matthew Drake, Rebecca and Jon Ehrhardt,
and Jackie Osborne; loving great-grandfather of Mathias, Isaac, Ava
and Julia; and fond uncle of Gary, John and Jim Kirchberger. He was
also survived by other relatives and friends.
Rudy was born in Milwaukee. The family moved to Thiensville in 1967.
He was a proud Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Rudy owned his
own typography business in downtown Milwaukee for over 25 years.
He will be sorely missed by his family and friends and will be
remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and
friend to all.
Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
at Grace Lutheran Church, 303 Green Bay Road, Thiensville, with a
funeral service at 1:30 p.m. A private burial will be in Immanuel
Memorials to Grace Lutheran Church in Thiensville or the Howard J.
Schroeder American Legion Post 457 in Mequon are appreciated.
