Loraine E. Boehlke, 88 Loraine E. Boehlke (nee Klug), 88, of Random Lake, was born to eternal life on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Loraine was born on Oct. 13, 1923, to the late Frank and Clara (nee Radue) Klug at the family farm in Mequon. She attended Trinity Lutheran School – Freistadt and was a member of Lindenwood 4-H Club. In her teen years she worked at the shoe factory in Thiensville. On Aug. 28, 1943, she married Earl at Trinity Lutheran Church – Freistadt. The couple remained in Freistadt for several months, until they moved to Random Lake, where they settled and began a family of their own and operated a farm. In 1954, she began working at Boehlke Hardware; she was the essence of the store. Loraine had an extensive knowledge for hardware and was the "go to" lady until 1996. She continued overseeing the family farm from 1996 to the present. Loraine enjoyed working side by side with her children on the farm and in the store. She had a very positive influence on her children and was their role model, also providing them with a spiritual foundation. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church – Freistadt and often attended St. John’s Lutheran Church Sherman Center in Random Lake. Loraine is survived by her cherished children, Beverly (Ron) Depies of Adell, Judith (E. Miche) Priaulx of Saukville, Robert (Dawn) Boehlke of Random Lake, Roger (Carol) Boehlke of Germantown, Linda (Rolf) Sommer of Random Lake, Royal (Linda) Boehlke of Random Lake, and Cynthia (Jay) Johnson of Iowa; 23 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Norma Schoessow and Marion Frenz; a brother, Franklin (Evelyn) Klug; and a sister-in- law, Ruth (Rev. Gerhard) Dobberfuhl. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two grandchildren, Andrew and Jerilyn Boehlke; sisters, Esther (Fred) Hilgendorf, Alma (Werner) Riemer and Elvira (Rev. Herbert) Buch; two brothers, Edwin (Viola) and Arnold Klug; and a brother-in-law, Ernst (Esther) Boehlke. Visitation with family and friends will be held today, Jan. 24, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, with continued visitation on Wednesday, Jan. 25, from 10 a.m. to noon at Trinity Lutheran Church – Freistadt, 10729 W. Freistadt Road, N120, Mequon. Funeral services will follow at noon at the church with Pastor Carl Lehenbauer presiding. Interment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. The family has requested memorials be offered to Trinity Lutheran Church – Freistadt, Jerilyn Boehlke Scholarship Fund or St. John’s Lutheran Church Sherman Center in Random Lake.
