Howard P. Ohm, 92 A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Howard P. Ohm, 92, of Grafton, today, Jan. 24, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church. Father Al Veik was the presider. Interment took place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of your choice are appreciated. For online condolences please visit www.muellerfuneralhome.com. Howard was born on Dec. 29, 1919, in Edgar the son of Herbert and Miranda (nee Muluski) Ohm, who preceded him in death. He later married Rosella Boncher on May 3, 1947, in Milwaukee. Their marriage was blessed with three sons, Jim, Paul and John. Howard served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army from January of 1942 until his honorable discharge in November of 1945. After leaving the U.S. Army, Howard worked for the Schlitz Brewery in Milwaukee for over 35 years. Howard was an avid gardener, who was known for growing gladiolas, pumpkins, as well as other vegetables. He carried on the tradition of making homemade bread after his wife, Rosella, passed away in 2004. Howard enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, as well as spending numerous hours in his garden. Howard is survived by his three sons, Jim Ohm, Paul (Donna) Ohm and John (Lisa) Ohm; grandchildren, Angela, Andrea and Tricia; great- grandchildren, Taylor, Scott and Brayden; and a brother, Cliff Ohm. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Rosella Ohm; and a sister, Loretta Eggert. Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family. |
